Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request erasure of your personal data — also known as the "right to be forgotten". This page explains how to delete your QGo account and what happens to your data afterwards.
You can delete your account directly from the QGo mobile application:
1. Open the QGo app and log in.
2. Tap on your Profile icon in the bottom navigation.
3. Go to Settings.
4. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account".
5. Read the confirmation message, then tap "Confirm".
Your account will be scheduled for permanent deletion.
If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email to:
privacy@qgoapp.com
Please include the following in your email:
— Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
— Your registered email address
— Your full name (as used during registration)
We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.
Once your account is deleted:
— Your personal profile, login credentials, and preferences are permanently removed.
— Your transaction history and fueling records are anonymised or erased.
— You will no longer receive any communications from QGo.
— The deletion is irreversible — your account cannot be recovered.
Please note: certain data may be retained for up to 7 years where required by law (e.g. financial records for tax and accounting purposes). This retained data cannot be used to identify you in any other context.
Beyond the right to erasure, you also have the right to:
— Access your personal data — request a copy of the data we hold.
— Rectify incorrect data — ask us to correct any inaccuracies.
— Restrict processing — limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
— Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@qgoapp.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your country.
